Marklens Privacy Policy

Marklens is a native markdown viewer for macOS and iPadOS. It runs entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Marklens does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data, usage analytics, crash reports, identifiers, or file contents.

What the app accesses

• Markdown files you explicitly open — read locally on your device to render. Marklens never uploads them anywhere.
• No network access is performed by the application code. Marklens declares the com.apple.security.network.client entitlement only because Apple’s WKWebView framework requires it to initialize its rendering process, even for purely local content.
• No third-party SDKs, trackers, or analytics are included.

Children’s privacy

Marklens does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at https://donald-jackson.github.io/marklens/privacy/ with a new “Last updated” date.
